This is a restaurant called Al Lago where we had lunch on our trip to Locarno Monday. It is a favorite of H&E's. The chef is the owner and the waiter is his partner. It's just the two of them. Locarno is in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. The train even took us through a stretch of Italy to get here. The waiter spoke only Italian. That is, he did not speak English. Hans said he had trouble switching to Italian because he'd been speaking English all week. He seemed to me to do a pretty good job. Our lunch was one of those memorable meals that happen occasionally but seem impossible to arrange. That is, it was just the right combination of good food (trout), good company, good atmosphere and hunger. It certainly was one of the highlights of the trip.
