Our weather for the whole week of Thanksgiving couldn’t have been any nicer. The Wylies arrived Monday and non-stop hilarity ensued, at least among the Wylie girls plus Li’l r. Jill and Dave both had to work on Tuesday and even some on Wednesday. Jill’s job is really demanding a lot from her right now but hopefully the frenetic pace won’t continue much longer. Fox trot
Recently while sitting at my desk in my room, I saw a fox lope across the backyard. We haven’t seen any foxes around for quite some time. When I mentioned seeing one to Joyce, she said she and Kari had noticed a lot of fox scat when walking around the place earlier in the day. That may mean there are more than one. Hummers
We have had hummingbirds around all summer as usual. There is usually a black chin that takes possession of the feeder and drives off all comers and that was the case this year. 7-6-1-1
(Friday, September 22) It was a pleasant morning out at the golfcourse ; a nice breeze, lots of sunshine and only one mosquito, which is now an ex-mosquito. And there was no one around to witness it when that HIO rolled in. Yes, it was a short par three hole. I used a nine iron and didn’t hit it very well but the ball hopped up on the green and rolled right in. It’s not how, but how many, I’m told, and I’ll take it. Continue reading “7-6-1-1”
Late August
These shots were taken Saturday morning, August 26, 2017 between about 10:00 and, oh, maybe 10:45. It was the first time in days that the sun was out before noon Continue reading “Late August”
