It was looking grim the early part of last week; gray skies, low temps and so on. One would have thought it was winter time around here. Joyce and I spent most of our time trying to keep warm while trying not to cough up a lung. Fortunately later in the week the sun came out and we both took a turn for the better.
Rebeccca joined us for dinner Saturday night while her parents went with Abigail and her volleyball team for an after-tournament meal. The tournament was Saturday and Sunday at Tascosa High. Thursday’s basketball game against Travis Middle School was another defensive contest. Like the week before, the Pioneers jumped out to an early lead and held it through the rest of the game. The Travis girls were pretty big and aggressive but couldn’t buy a shot. Abigail made a couple of free throws and had a good game rebounding.
