From Dan Ferris email…
In a two-word Twitter post around 8 a.m. Eastern time on January 7, Tesla founder Elon Musk simply said, “Use Signal.” He was referring to the cross-platform messaging app.
But a bunch of investors didn’t care to confirm that detail before hitting the buy button…
Texas-based Signal Advance (SIGL) surged 5,000%-plus in three trading sessions after Musk’s message. Unfortunately, that company has nothing to do with the Signal app.
The company has no revenue and hasn’t filed a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission report since 2019. Its stock went up 5,000% solely because it had “Signal” in its name.
When the wind blows hard enough, even the turkeys fly.
Speaking of flying turkeys, Goober (aka Sleazy Joe) will be inaugurated this week. Hard to write that with a straight face. On the dais with him will be Kommie (Kamala), plus attendants to support Goober, literally. This comedy team is a joke. Goober is a sellout extraordinaire and Kommie is philosophically opposed to the concepts of freedom and liberty, unless you are talking about Democrat politicians. But even then it is more a case of supporting license rather than freedom and liberty.
And then there’s this…
I recently read an article (link here) accusing the Chinese communist party (CCP) of using fentanyl to wage chemical warfare on the US and other countries. “China is the “largest source” of illicit fentanyl in the United States, a November 2018 report by the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission stated.”
Hmmm, didn’t I read that Hunter Biden was making good money doing business with the CCP and giving Goober his cut?
“China also uses the money generated by the importing of fentanyl to effectively “influence political parties.” You don’t say. And honey pots, too. See Eric Swallwell. He was picked to manage the latest impeachment in the asylum. Guess the CCP is getting their money’s worth.
There are other sources of fentanyl and there are related drugs even more lethal, so I read. When I read about the CCP using them to undermine the US, to me that seems to be a reasonable answer to some of the questionable things the pols do. Then I read about the CCP owning the NBA because the China market for American basketball is so big. I also read about the CCP influencing players and other celebrities, again because the Chinese market is so big and, well, if they want to tap that market, and apparently they do enough to sell out their own country, they have to toe the line. Maybe if I write stuff like this the CCP will pay me not to, or shoot me in the head.
I want to make it clear that I have no doubt there are many honorable citizens in China and I don’t want to disparage them with a broad brush. Our family doctor when I was growing up was a Chinese fellow. He and his family lived across the street and I went to school with his children all through K12. It was actually just the 12 since I didn’t go to kindergarten, thank goodness. Dr. Moch was the nicest man; had a wonderful beside manner. He must have imprinted me as I was growing up because I tend to be favorably disposed toward oriental people. I think the key word here is communism. Mark Twain said nobody’s life, liberty or pursuit of happiness is safe when congress is in session. He was most likely talking about your average American venal politicians. If you add a strong dose of communism, you get something exponentially worse. Children beware.
