Monday was sunny and warm with light and variable winds.  I’m pleased to say golfing buddy Gary and I did not waste it on work.  No sir, we hit the links and enjoyed an excellent round of golf.  Your humble blogger scored a couple of birdies to come within one stroke of paring the back nine.  After the round we met our wives for a lunch.  I tell you, it was like a mini winter vacation without the travel. It was looking grim the early part of last week; gray skies, low temps and so on.  One would have thought it was winter time around here.  Joyce and I spent most of our time trying to keep warm while trying not to cough up a lung.  Fortunately later in the week the sun came out and we both took a turn for the better. It was a catch

It won’t change anything but — it was a catch.  Dez Bryant went up and caught the well-thrown ball, brought it into his body, landed on his feet, took two steps and dove for the goal line.  Despite what the officials ruled, that was a football move.  When the hand holding the ball hit the ground the ball popped out but Dez immediately recovered the ball in the end zone.  The ground can’t cause a fumble and he was down by contact when his knees touched the ground, about the same time as the ball popped loose.   The Cowboys should have had a first down inside the five yard line.
