It won’t change anything but — it was a catch. Dez Bryant went up and caught the well-thrown ball, brought it into his body, landed on his feet, took two steps and dove for the goal line. Despite what the officials ruled, that was a football move. When the hand holding the ball hit the ground the ball popped out but Dez immediately recovered the ball in the end zone. The ground can’t cause a fumble and he was down by contact when his knees touched the ground, about the same time as the ball popped loose. Winter time
Joyce and I have been suffering from upper respiratory failure since getting back from Garland. While it hasn’t kept us in bed, it has slowed us down considerably. That’s okay, though, because the weather has been lousy. Other than a mild afternoon Tuesday, it has been cold and/or windy. Joyce finally got to the grocery store Thursday where she encountered people complaining about the weather. And why wouldn’t they. After the balmy Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday never got above 20 degrees. Me, I prefer to accept that January and February are unpleasant here on the high plains and any nice days that come along should be appreciated for the anomalies they are. Apache fog
There were times I couldn’t see 50 yards into the fog covering the road between Alpine and Fort Stockton. Then it would clear up only to close in again a few miles down the road.
